Ruth Hepburn - Practice
Manager
Our practice manager, Ruth Hepburn is responsible for the administration and smooth running of the practice. If you have any difficulties, or suggestions concerning the services provided, please contact her at Bucksburn.
Receptionists
Our receptionists and secretaries form a very important part of the practice and they will help you see the doctors or other appropriate members of the practice team. To do this job properly, they may have to ask for essential details of your problem - this information will be kept in complete confidence.
Practice Nurses
Our surgery nurses are in attendance during the working day. They perform a wide range of tests and procedures for your doctors, as well as offering health checks and advice. You can arrange a specific appointment time to see them. They are (with qualifications listed):-

Health Visitors
Health Visitors help promote good health. They give advice on general welfare matters to all groups of people both at home and in parentcraft, baby and coronary rehabilitation clinics at our surgeries. They also run clinics for help in stopping smoking, including provision of prescriptions for Nicotine Replacement Therapy.

District Nurses
District nurses provide skilled nursing care through assessment and care
planning for housebound people. They provide support and advice for people
with cancer and chronic illnesses as well as organising practical assistance
and issuing nursing equipment.
You can contact them at Dyce Health Centre on 849514. A telephone answering machine will be operative when the nurses are working in the community.
Health Care Co-ordinator
Karen Mitchell and Jackie Coull are experienced District Nurses, who share
this position in the practice's Health Care Team. Their role is to arrange
and co-ordinate all facets of care in the community for patients with
significant medical problems.
Among their activities, they liase with hospital staff when a patient is admitted with serious illness, and will set up and continue to supervise that patient’s all-round care on and after hospital discharge.

Phlebotomist
Sheila Lynch is the practice phlebotomist (a person who takes blood samples).
She works at both our surgeries and if you require a blood test, your doctor may ask you to attend one of her sessions.
